The familiar signs of Christmas are all around—and summer weather is here more often than not. The photo of a Pohutukawa tree above was taken a couple weeks ago on The Strand in Takapuna, not far from the beach. It was a young tree, but especially full—perfect for a few photos.The photo below was taken by looking to my left (the tree I was photographing is visible on the right-hand side of the photo). I didn’t go down to the beach because Jake was with me and we’re still keeping him far away from North Shore beaches, as we have since August.
This summer I hope to take even more photos of Auckland.
