International games

It’s never easy to promote a charity event, but it’s a bit easier when you have friends in high places. These videos from the Queen, Prince Harry, the Obamas, and Justin Trudeau are going viral for reason: They’re good.

The video above features Prince Harry, the Queen and President and Mrs. Obama promoting the Invictus Games, founded by Prince Harry in 2014. The Games website explains:
The word ‘Invictus’ means ‘unconquered’. It embodies the fighting spirit of the wounded, injured and sick service personnel and what these tenacious men and women can achieve, post injury. The Games harness the power of sport to inspire recovery, support rehabilitation, and generate a wider understanding and respect for those who serve their country.
Prince Harry is, of course, a combat veteran himself, so this is clearly a cause close to his heart. The Obamas have long been supporters, and the USA is hosting the 2016 Invictus Games, with the 2017 games to be held in Canada.

Which brings us to the second video, featuring Canada’s Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau. He does a great job, too, and after his explanation of quantum computing, is seems he’s a natural in the video realm.

There’s nothing quite like a little international fun from heads of countries, is there? Especially when it’s for a good cause. For me, though, the Queen gets the best actress award.
