Here's something a little different: A funny video with a great idea. And toilet humour (totally SFW, btw). It shows a German city’s simple solution to a problem wherever there are guys drinking a lot of anything (though, maybe, beer is an especially bad cause). Because when nature calls, a nearby wall can be appealing.
From the YouTube description:
In Hamburg, St. Pauli, it's peeback time. St. Pauli's Community of Interest (IG St. Pauli e.V.) initiated an action where frequented walls in the neighbourhood were sprayed with a superhydrophobic coating. This coating is so water-repellent that urine splashes right back. By doing so, we want to stop those who pee wherever they please.I’ve heard of places that have electrified walls so the gentlemen get a particular surprise, but that always struck me as little too retaliatory. I used to think that super-strong fans that would switch on when someone peed on the wall, blowing the pee back on them, would be good, but I bet this paint would be a cheaper option.
Even so, I doubt the paint will work long term—it can’t be cheap and would have to be maintained. But it’s still funny in the meantime.
