Today Leo decided to try a new trick. He’s often been stretched-out along my side, but this morning he crawled up on my pillow and lay against my head. This was, I think, because his demanding scratches hadn’t persuaded me to get up. His new trick worked.
This, of course, isn’t the first time he’s been in a weird position on or near me (see the photo at left, which is from March of last year; it's something I blogged about at the time), but this particular position is new. I think he’s trying to use his cuteness to get me to do what he wants, successfully—today, anyway.Despite his clear manipulation of me, it was nevertheless nice to have something to laugh about, when there’s been so much about Sunny's situation lately that’s been the opposite. I’ll take it.
