In this video, John Green talks about how Kiwis’ expression of kindness meant a lot to him by gathering and sending him “thousands and thousands” of the now discontinued New Zealand 5 cent coins, all because of the tuatara that was on that coin. And from this story, dear reader, we learn that we should never underestimate the power and effect of helping someone with something small, because it can be quite big to them. Even when it’s a small denomination discontinued coin that means so much more—to them.
